…knees.

Charlie bites his tongue

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Charlie for making Father’s Day possible. Without you, kid, I’d just be another schmo who sleeps past 6AM and spends his money on useless video games and beer instead of diapers…and…beer. Traditionally speaking, we spend Father’s day working on random house projects. Ok, so this was only my second Father’s day, but so far, it’s been two for two (that’s tradition, right?). Last year, we spent the day painting some interior walls. This year, I got MY father involved and we installed a new front door. It opens, it closes, it latches, it locks..and so far hasn’t fallen out of the frame. Knock on wood…Not the door—it hasn’t been tested for that yet..just find some other wood and knock on it. Thanks. And thank you, Dad(Grandpa)..happy Father’s Day.

Anyway, enough about fathers. Let’s talk about parents. I’m not sure if you remember—with all my grumbling about manual labor and whining about the Seattle weather—that Andrea is pregnant. I’m sure she has a lot to say, so I’ll let her fill you in with details once typing doesn’t make her barf. However, yesterday afternoon it was revealed to us at the 18-week ultrasound that ‘Betababy’ is…

Ultrasound : it’s a girl
girl.

In related news, Upon her birth, I will be ordering a DNA test to make sure that Betababy’s real father isn’t actually Skeletor.

Betababy is Skeletor..ita.

Congrats on Betababy being a girl! Next Father’s day will be filled with a little girl lovingly and wholeheartedly wrapped around your neck to only be removed in extreme cases like bath time or shopping.

Congratulations!!!! Way to get one from the other team! Team Pink!

Ya, I never liked viewing the skeletor photos. I started thinking weird thoughts. Profiles and package shots are much more fun! :)

It’s about time we have another girl on the Soelter side of the family - way to go you two - the boy spell is broken! Can’t wait to meet her,

Happy Father’s Day Alphadaddy! You are such a good dad. I think it is great that you participate in blogging. I hope the baby is yours and not Skeletor! What a weird affair that would be!

  5. Amanda Says:

Congratulations!! Can’t wait to see all the cute little outfits… girls are so much fun to buy for!

No offense, but that second picture is a little creepy. But we’ve got our share over here as well. For whatever reason the ultrasound tech always gets that creepy skeletor face shot, like you really want to take that one home.

CONGRATS! We love having girls :)

I’m thrilled that all is well and baby girl is healthy!

(Good luck on that DNA test…)

Skeletor- haha! I’m sure she’s just not done “cooking” and will come out bearing no resemblance to him. Look at how cute Charlie is. Capital A for adorable.

Andrea, sorry typing makes you barf.

    :)
