invasive, grubby, touchy, feely girl

We spent last evening at the final Zoo Tunes concert of the season. The Avett brothers—one of my latest favorites—did not disappoint. They are one of those bands that bring an extraordinary amount of energy with them to their live shows. Just go see them, you’ll see.

Noooooooooooooooo
We were thrilled to have three of Charlie’s friends and their parents with us. It was a nice distraction for Charlie, although, it didn’t keep him from wanting to run away from us for the sake of doing so. I suppose it’s expected; he is two, after all. Unexpected, however, was what happened when we were in line waiting to get into the show. I wasn’t paying much attention, but suddenly Andrea paused and her eyes got really big. She nudged me and nodded toward a little girl and her mom right in front of us saying, under her breath, “that’s her.” I looked over, “that’s who?…oh…ohhhhh nooo.” Last August, while attending one of these concerts, we had a run-in with this…same…kid.
As we entered the venue, we made sure to stake out a place to sit a ways from them. Unfortunately, this little girl still managed to haunt us by making friends with the blanket behind us. AND she was eating ice cream. GAAAAAHHH.

Man! I’m so envious of all of these concerts you get to go to. Did she try to make out with Charlie again?

Man, I remember that! I guess I’ve “known” you guys long time. hehe
Maybe we’ll actually get to meet here in a few weeks. Boomer Sooner.

You saw the Be Good Tanyas? Totally jealous! And I hear the Avett Brothers are great. I would have been there had I not been required to work a winery event.
I’m glad that you steered clear of that little girl with boundary issues.

Sounds like she’s (the little girl) your bad luck charm to open stadium concerts.
You’re not from Oklahoma, are you? (Boomer Sooner from Little Miss Mel)

I only work one “night” during the week: Thursday night. Guess what night Salt Lake has it’s free concert series on? So, I pretty much got the shaft on live music this summer. Hopefully the Toadies come through here.

No way… that’s a little creepy.
