charlie b’s christmas tree

through the eye of an ornament

The tree is up. We decorated it last night after Charlie went to bed. This morning—when he woke up—we made a big deal about bringing him down to see it for the first time. Shortly thereafter, Charlie learned a new phrase: “No touch”. Not much later, after quickly mastering the swatting of the ornaments without pricking his fingers on pine needles, he also learned the art of defiance. I thought we had at least six more months of baby left. Nope; toddlerness is upon us.

What an awesome picture! I can’t stop looking at it! Nice job! Makes me a little teary-eyed that we’re not doing a tree this year.

Great picture! I feel like all I do these days is yell and chase and pry ornaments out of his hands… and I’m not sure how they get in his hands because they’re all on the top half of the tree. ugg.

Love the bauble pic! We have decided not to do the big christmas tree this year, mainly because we really don’t have space inside but also because I can’t face the inevitable war between Amy and myself to keep away! We will be getting a small potted tree for the front step which we will decorate and bring indoors on Christmas day… nice compromise!
