The other morning as Charlie was waking from his morning nap, I could hear him jabbering and playing with some toys in his crib. Figuring it was a great opportunity to capture him on video, I grabbed the camera and snuck quietly into his room. Sure enough, using the light from his ‘crib TV‘, he was trying to shove his stuffed monkey through the bars of the crib.

We recently bought a new camera and I knew it had a night mode, but didn’t know how to easily turn it on. So, while fidgeting with the buttons, I accidentally turned on the light. Surprisingly, he still didn’t notice me behind him. However, he was thrilled to be able to see what he was doing.

Just for the record…our son DOES wear pants on occasion.

Charlie received this ladybug for his birthday. The idea is that the kid is supposed to sit on the thing…but he’ll have none of that. And if we’d known how enamored he would be with it, we would have asked for a manlier bug—maybe a scorpion or a giant spider.
