About Us

Upon launching this site, we had no intention of administrating a ‘blog’ but rather simply posting day-to-day—or week-to-week—updates of our goings on, which it turns out…happens to be a blog. So now, as we sit nestled in the northwest corner of the continental US of A, we spend most of our time trying to figure out how to impress the rest of the world to the point of being noticed.

In the height of our desperation, we employed tactics such as birthing a child and photographing it with puppies and kittens—who could resist? We also make sure to follow all of the hottest trends. We bought an suv when we knew the economy needed us the most and quit driving it when NBCs ‘green’ week touched us all. We also do our best at keeping up on all the hottest gossip—did you know, for instance, that Lindsay Lohan is totally into drugs and booze? and that Britney Spears has not one, but two kids now? well, now you do. Just an example of the kind of up-to-the-minute news that we deliver.

Charlie (Alphababy):

Charles James was born in July of 2006. We, the parents expect to soon discover our lil’ super hero’s powers, although we realize that it may take him a while to figure out how to use his powers for the good of mankind. Sure, he may accidentally singe your pant leg with his laser vision; it happens. One day, however, he will learn to fly to save other babies from tall burning buildings, breathe freezing air to solve our upcoming global warming epidemic, use his x-ray vision…to find WMDs?, and lift a car with a single finger to help old ladies change flat tires..and probably to impress his friends.

The Parents:

Andrea with Brutus

Andrea and Jonathan bought a house in 2004, married in 2005, and had jr. in 2006. They have a dog, three cats and a small SUV.

A simple coin toss—called in the air by Andrea—was the deciding factor in which of the two would carry the child through its gestation period. Although relieved that he would not have to endure the process of a uterus implant, Jonathan took pity on Andrea for having to deal with the anguish of bearing their child. Understanding how hard pregnancy is on one’s body, he decided to gain ’sympathy’ weight as moral support. In fact, although taken many many years ago, the image to the right is a fair representation of how you might have found Jonathan at any point throughout the pregnancy.

Until about halfway through her first trimester, Andrea had spent the previous ten or so years earning a living as a nanny. Anyone who had ever witnessed her caring for other peoples’ children knows just how phenomenal of a mother she must be to her own child.

Jonathan, on the other hand, had never changed a diaper in his life, prior to Charlie’s birth. Of course, he also thought amniotic fluid was something you keep in the trunk of your car during the winter season. During the pregnancy, he spent most of his free time wearing a pregnancy suit and reading books such as Babies for Dummies and What to expect When you’re Expecting. He carried an egg with him everywhere he went and each day the egg remained in one piece, he rewarded himself with a fudgesicle.
