busiest…weekend…ever
I’d like to be able to sum up what turned out to be one of the busiest summer weekends of our parental career..so far, anyway. However, we’re just now finishing cleaning up after the birthday celebration and it’s time to get back to the daily grind. So, I’m going to reserve these few last minutes of the ‘weekend’ to say ‘Thank You’. Thank you to everybody who made Charlie’s birthday party special and exciting for him. He’s only two and he’s already got great friends for life.
My other ‘thank you’ goes over to our new friends, Jen and Roth. We were invited to their annual seafood bake and it was…awesome.
Here are some photos of the weekend at a glance:
The obligatory Seattle Seafair Blue Angels air show. We thought Charlie would be more into the airplanes, but really he just wanted to go run through the parking lot behind us and try to eat his ear plugs

Charlie’s friend Cole’s birthday party. Happy birthday Cole!

The Seafood Bake. I see food…and I eat it. Yum.

Eat Me!

Roth and Jen did an amazing job on the feast.

Oh yeah..and did I mention that we got to hang out with THEEE Sizzle and THEEE Fella? That’s right.

Sunday was Charlie’s birthday party. We got one of these piñatas that you don’t have to beat with a stick, which I think would have given Charlie a complex. Instead, you pull strings out of Curious George’s butt until the candy falls out…Maybe next year, we’ll skip the piñata altogether.

The party was a lot of fun for Charlie, Thanks again to all of his friends for coming!

I wish I had the energy to write more about the busy weekend, but I’m exhausted. I’m going to go to work now for some much-needed sleep.

THEEE Sizzle- ha ha ha that cracked me up. As if!
It was fantastic meeting you all. You really did pack a lot into a weekend! That pull the string on the butt pinata? Um, might give Charlie a different kind of complex. Heh.
Have a good nap I mean day at work. Ahem.

I’m not sure what is worse- beating the crap out of something or pulling ass strings for candy? Hmm…
Looks like a great weekend!

The last time I saw the Blue Angels in Seattle, I passed out on some guy. Sounds much more alluring than it actually was. The heat, humidity, and staring up at the sky made me faint. Face first. Onto some dude. Nobody saw it happen, because they were all looking upward too. My boyfriend was with me, he stood there and watched me as I toppled over. And that’s why I’m married to someone else
I have yet to see a pinata experience that turned out pleasant… but I applaud the butt-string pulling.
What a great party, though!! I dig Charlie. And… I want to meet Sizzle!!!

Uh… my invitation I guess got lost in the mail? Looks like quite the party. Oh, and where should I deliver this flagstone I got for you? Maybe I’ll just UPS it.

I love the pictures. The one of Andrea and Charlie blowing out candles is adorable. I don’t know if I would want my guy pulling a string out of George’s butt or beating him. I guess I perfer the butt string! Happy Birthday Charlie.

Happy birthday Charlie! As much as Chloe loves George, we may have to do a pull the sting out of the butt pinata this year. That is hilarious.
I didn’t know you got to meet Sizzle, she is so awesome! We are email buddies separated by the United States!
Your 5D does just as good as ours, the pictures are fantastic that you take. The Avrett Brothers…I need to ask Ryan if he has heard of them. He is savvy with more obscure bands than me. Looks like a great time though!
